Chairman Mr. Joseph Chan attended The 4th Cushman & Wakefield Belt & Road Initiative Forum as keynote speaker in Shanghai
November 22 2018, Mr. Joseph Chan, chairman of Silk Road Economic Development Research Center, attended The 4th Cushman & Wakefield Belt & Road Initiative Forum co-organized by Ministry of Commerce of China and Cushman & Wakefield. The theme of forum is Overseas Industrial park & Southeast Asia investment opportunities. Mr. Joseph Chan delivered a keynote speech after the welcome remarks from Hua Yan, Director of Investment Promotion Agency of Ministry of Commerce of China, and Alva To, vice President of Cushman & Wakefield (Greater China).
Mr. Joseph Chan made a keynote speech under the topic of New trends of the Belt and Road Development. By analyzing the recent policies and developments, opportunities and challenges along the Belt and Road in the future, he shared his view about Chinese investments in Belt and Road countries, diversifying and upgrading gradually in recent years. He believes that the momentum of Belt and Road Development will change from traditional industries like infrastructures to the growth in fields of new economy and digital economy. Shanghai and Hong Kong can continually work together in contributing to the Belt and Road Development as exporting various services e.g. the “soft power”, such as the management of public services, to the Belt and Road countries, and be the super connector of the Belt and Road.
Over 80 investors and entrepreneurs from mainland China and Hong Kong participated in the event.
