On 10th Jan, 2018, Joseph Chan Nap Kee, the chairman of Silk Road Economic Development Research Centre attended the seminar on the new stage developments in Uzbekistan.

The seminar was co-organized by Silk Road Economic Development Research Centre, One Belt One Road Research Institute of Chu Hai College, Institute for Entrepreneurship and Hong Kong Polytechnic University, in the presence of Vladimir NOROV, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Director of the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan, and Oybek Khamraev, the head of the state Investments Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Our Center Chairman Mr. Joseph Chan Nap Kee addressed the great importance of establishing a sound legal and judiciary system to attract potential investors to central Asia, where notable progress has been made in the area. Logistics is also a crucial factor weighing on a potential investment, and China has been accelerating transport infrastructure construction, which will reduce transportation and logistics costs significantly, thus helping enterprises to retain more profits in the future.
