Themed Circles for Peace, the forum convened thought leaders, academics, youth representatives, business leaders, and policymakers from the United States, China, and beyond to explore pathways toward peaceful coexistence, mutual understanding, and multilateral cooperation in a rapidly changing world.
Organized by the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF), the forum featured a full-day program including keynote speeches, high-level dialogues, youth panels, and cross-disciplinary discussions. Topics addressed included global governance, artificial intelligence, cultural exchange, and the evolving U.S.-China relationship.
Mr. Chan engaged in meaningful conversations with fellow participants and expressed particular interest in the role of dialogue, education, and people-to-people exchange in easing tensions and building long-term trust. His presence highlighted Hong Kong’s continued importance as a global bridge and a platform for fostering inclusive international engagement.
The second day of the forum (18 November) consisted of closed-door roundtable discussions held under Chatham House Rule, covering sensitive topics such as AI and labor, geopolitical resilience and cultural diplomacy.
