Call for Donations to those Affected by the Earthquake in Türkiye

以下為因應土耳其駐港領事館所作之地震賑災緊急呼籲而發放。

The following is issued in response to the plea for donations for the relief of earthquake in Türkiye by the Consulate General of Türkiye in Hong Kong.

The devastating earthquakes which occurred in Kahramanmaraş and surrounding provinces on 6 February 2023 brought great grief to Türkiye and to all the world.

We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and speedy recovery to the injured.

The Turkish authorities immediately initiated rapid and efficient disaster-relief efforts. Türkiye is grateful for the large number of requests for assistance from China and the global community.

Individuals/NGOs wishing to contribute to the relief efforts in cash may do so through the websites of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of Türkiye (AFAD), Turkish Red Crescent Society and the Turkish Religious Affairs Bureau listed below.

We will also be deeply grateful for the in-kind contributions that will arrive from China to meet the emergency needs of the victims. In this context, we have listed below the addresses and contact persons who can receive relief supplies in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Hong Kong, where Turkish Airlines operates direct flights to Türkiye:

Special attention: Boxes with aid supplies should be sent by Monday evening, 13 February 2023, with the English name of the goods (garments/shoes/shelter equipment) written on the boxes.
