Conference on Silk Road Strategy (Series II) : Focus on Tajikistan
Noting that our first conference was very well-received back in April, Series II of the Silk Road strategy conference was held on 29th October at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
The conference was kicked off with an opening speech by Hong Kong’s Financial Secretary Mr. John Tsang Chun-wah. Amongst our honored speakers were H.E. Mr Rashid Alimov, the Tajik Ambassador to China and Secretary General designate of Shanghai Cooperate Organization, and Mr. Tojidin Pirzoda, chairman of the Tojiksodirotbank.
Attendants reacted enthusiastically as the highlight of the conference was to provide insights about specific regions. Speakers shared their thorough knowledge about Tajikistan in aspects including its geographical importance on the Belt & Road, latest financial development and legal framework.
